Sokhulu Capital is a live agricultural finance and marketplace platform anchored by a Unique Farmer Identifier Code. Every finance, input and market event attaches to the same farmer record, with a guided demo path for first-time entry. Built by Njinga Media.
Sokhulu Capital: A Farmer Identifier Backbone for Agricultural Finance
01The Brief
Agricultural finance breaks when a farmer's records live in separate places. Finance sits with one party, input purchases with another, market activity somewhere else. Risk cannot be assessed from fragments, and value cannot be traced back to the land that produced it.
Sokhulu Capital was built as an agricultural finance and marketplace platform where that fragmentation is designed out. It is live and publicly accessible.
02One Identifier, Closed Loop
The platform is anchored by a single Unique Farmer Identifier Code. Every finance event, input purchase and marketplace transaction attaches to that code rather than to a name, a phone number or a spreadsheet row.
The effect is a closed loop: what a farmer received, what they produced, and what they sold sit on the same record. Finance decisions are made against a chain of events rather than a single application form.
That structure also makes the marketplace side useful, because buyers and suppliers transact against a record that already carries history.

03Designing for First Entry
A finance platform asked people who do not use finance software to open an account. The first screen therefore offers a guided demo: a visitor can walk the mechanics of the platform before committing any data.
The programme entry point sits separately for institutional partners, so public users and programme participants are not pushed through the same door.
Both decisions follow the same principle we apply to every platform build: reduce what a new user must understand before their first useful action.
